I am a professionally qualified individual and group psychotherapist with an MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy Studies from the Metropolitan University and a Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy, a clinical member of UKCP. I also have a BSc in Clinical Psychology, five years degree. 

I have been teaching children and adolescents with an ASC in different posts such as tutor, class teacher in private and government schools, tutor in home-programmes and consultant for more than 20 years. I therefore have intimate experience of supporting parents. I feel excited that after a long and successful career working with ASC children I can pull all these experiences together and along with my Psychotherapy experience provide much needed help and support to families.

During my teaching I have witnessed the challenges, struggles and difficulties of raising a child with autism in a world/society that has little awareness and understanding of their needs and their parents’ needs. I believe the above places me in a unique position to be able to support parents, adult siblings and extended adult family members to meet their emotional and psychological needs in order that they can feel heard, understood and supported to meet their own life goals. My training as a Psychotherapist has enabled me to have the insight to recognize the deeply felt emotional challenges a family may face.
